The full-sized Kawasaki MULE™ 3000
off-road utility vehicle is larger, has a more powerful engine, and more
hauling and towing capacity than the compact MULE 550 model. With features
that include a tilting cargo bed, bench seat, fully automatic transmission
and locking differential, it is Kawasaki’s “industrial grade” utility
vehicle.
The MULE 3000 utility vehicle has aggressive styling and a rugged grille
with rounded fenders. The body panels of the cab are made of durable,
color-infused plastic to help hide scuffing, and the front hood of the MULE
3000 can be lifted with the touch of a button to reveal a large storage
space, which also has convenient D-rings to help secure cargo. Located
beneath the front grille are winch-ready tabs for easy winch mounting, and a
passenger-side grab rail is mounted on the cab frame. Plus, two lever
latches make opening and closing the tailgate easy.
In addition to light and accurate rack-and-pinion steering, the
easy-to-operate controls on the MULE 3000 are ergonomically located for
comfort and convenience. The forward/reverse shift lever is located within
easy reach on the dash, the coolant temperature warning light is easy to
see, and a push-button control activates headlights. Additional features
include an hour meter, fuel gauge and horn.
A liquid-cooled four-stroke V-twin engine provides power for the MULE 3000
and features an air restrictor gauge to indicate when the air filter needs
to be cleaned or replaced. Plus, the fuse box and oil dipstick are located
underneath the seat for easy access.
The MULE 3000 utilizes the Kawasaki Automatic Power-Drive System (KAPS)
–Kawasaki’s continuously variable transmission – to provide a wide operating
range for abundant pulling power and quick acceleration. Dependable,
low-maintenance shaft drive transfers power to a dual-mode differential that
can be locked to maximize rear-wheel traction, or unlocked to minimize
ground disturbance when making tight turns.
The chassis of the MULE 3000 features MacPherson strut front suspension for
a smooth, comfortable ride. On the rear, the De Dion rear leaf-spring
suspension is designed to carry heavy loads, yet provides a smooth ride when
the cargo box is empty. Self-adjusting hydraulic drum brakes at all four
wheels provides progressive stopping power, and 23-inch tires provide
maximum traction for a variety of surfaces.
The MULE 3000 utility vehicle can carry 803 pounds in its steel cargo bed
and can tow 1,200 pounds.
Authentic Kawasaki Accessories are available through Jacksonville Kawasaki.
Kawasaki’s tagline, “Let the good times roll™”, is recognized worldwide and
the brand is aggressively carrying its heritage of power, performance,
leading-edge design and exhilaration into the 21st century. |
